Wimbledon Tennis, London

The Wimbledon Tennis Championship starts today.  Wimbledon is the oldest tennis tournament in the world and perhaps the most prestigious.  It has been held at the All England Club in Wimbledon, London since 1877 and is the only major still played on grass.

Wimbledon traditions include a strict dress code for competitors and strawberries and cream for spectators. In 2009, Wimbledon’s Centre Court was fitted with a retractable roof to lessen the loss of playing time due to rain.

In 2013, Andy Murray became the first British male singles champion since Fred Perry in 1936.  Can he do it again?
